Exosome based nanobiosensor to detect cancer

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles generated by all cells and they carry nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and metabolites. exosomes are mediators of near and long-distance intercellular communication in health and disease and affect various aspects of cell biology. Recently, we have developed an innovative exosomal miRNA detection method to monitor stem cell neurogenesis in nondestructive, selective, and sensitive manner using multifunctional magneto-plasmonic nanorods.

Nanobiosensor to detect virus (Corona virus)

Rapid and accurate detection of infectious viral DNA and RNA has attracted a lot of attention due to coronavirus infection-19 (COVID-19). Detecting the expression level of target nucleic acids is critical for many biomedical applications and essential for healthcare application to diagnose diseases such as cancers. Recently, we have developed an electrochemical nucleic acid nano biosensor in a simple and time-efficient manner in POC biosensing of various nucleic acids and their mutant derivatives, including SARS-CoV-2 RNA.
