The research in Choi's Group has mainly focused on the field of bioelectronics. The ultimate goal of Choi's Group is to develop a biochip which can be used as a new generation electronic devices. In order to achieve those things, Choi's Group has studied the fundamental and advanced techniques involved in the development of the bio memory.

Choi's Group also has been interested in the fields of biochip, especially for diagnosis and enviromental monitoring. The research projects are the development of the development of protein chip, cell chip, and organ-on-a-chip. Therefore The current research projects are classified as two categories; Biorobot, Human network chip.
